Gentle Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow
A soft and gentle Vinyasa Flow. Gentle stretches teamed with breathing techniques to calm the mind and body. This class is geared more towards the beginner yogi, but all abilities are welcome.

 Vinyasa Flow is slightly stronger and is a Sanskrit word for a phrase that roughly translates as "to place in a special way," referring to a sequence of poses. Vinyasa classes are known for their fluid, movement-intensive practices. All our Vinyasa Flow teachers sequence their classes uniquely creatively and intelligently to smoothly transition from pose to pose, with the intention of linking breath to movement. 

 

Monday Motivation
A 45 minute class to start your week feeling energised, motivated and centred as you’re taken on this journey of joyful movement! Prepare to embrace your sweat as you move from a functional, fun warm up, into strong HIIT sequences, and finish with a deep stretch. You’ll leave with your energy centred, and ready to strut into your afternoon with fire in your belly.

This class connects the experience of powerful, intense movement with the feeling of being fully present in (and appreciative of) your brilliant body!

 

Hatha – The Hive way
Hatha yoga, is yoga in it's purist form.

It is where yoga originated from and is translated into sun (ha) and moon (tha).

It is a practice of balance and this class offers a well-rounded sequence of poses that can provide therapeutic benefits, including: Improvements in strength; Reduction in stress; and increased flexibility. Suitable for all abilities (and perfect for beginners)

 

Forrest Yoga (for neck, shoulders & hips)
Utilising the breath, unique Forrest Yoga postures and sequencing. In this yoga class you will work to strip layers from the physical and emotional blocks, held in the neck, shoulders and hips.

With layers stripped away, you will develop strength, find more freedom and space in these areas. Allowing you to feel more open, have more understanding of yourself and feel refreshed and more connected.

The perfect class to start your day, starting slow to gently awaken the body, building to an energetic apex before a restorative meditation for you to be ready to take on the morning.

 

Fit & Flow Yoga
Fit & Flow Yoga is a well-balanced yoga session, that combines breath work and traditional yoga poses, but with the addition of 'fit' weaved into the class. 

You will always finish with a super stretch, to leave feel rested and restored. 

The approach is a blend of modern science and gentle hit exercises, all within your yoga practice. The addition of the hit exercise, increases your heart rate and therefore can raise your vibration. 

The class is suitable for all fitness levels.

 

Forrest Yoga & Crystal Bowl meditation
This class is a chance to listen to the body slow down and use your breath to get more energy in and to tune out the buzz of the brain. - sometimes slowing down is the hardest thing to accomplish, this combo will help you breathe better,gain focus and feel more balanced.

Hailed as the “yoga of the 21st century”. A fairly modern practice, just 40 years old, it was designed for the modern world. It weaves new and modified poses to take care of the body and mind whilst addressing modern ailments often caused by everyday life.

Yang || Yin (Vinyasa and Restorative)
Yang || Yin integrate to create a strong body and a calm mind.

Yang brings a dynamic vinyasa flow to the first half of class, getting the body moving and shifting stagnant energy. Fiery sequences, inversions and balances will wring out the stresses of the day as we flow effortlessly into Yin.

A nourishing, restorative practice that targets the connective tissue within the body. Settle the mind and nervous system and allow yourself to surrender to a meditative state. You will leave class feeling totally balanced and rejuvenated.

 

Mind Body Flow
Release the stresses of the day with a flow yoga class to balance your mind and body, leaving you free from tension. Working with breathing exercises and slightly longer holds for each asana, you will feel your body become more supple and flexible as all tension melts away from you. Leave the class feeling deeply relaxed. All abilities and levels welcome.

 

Yoga For Sport
A yoga class designed for those who want to use yoga to complement their other fitness training or sports. Calling all gym-goers, weight trainers, cyclists, runners or those who just want to add some more stretching-time to their week. Targeting those parts of the body, particularly affected by those that exercise fairly regularly, and don’t always stretch out enough afterwards. Focussing on tight hamstrings and hips, building core strength and balance in a simple, flow sequence which is different each week. Taught in an anatomically-focussed, plain-speaking style. Suitable for complete beginners-advanced yogis.

 

Forrest Yoga Foundation & Yoga Nidra
A beautiful class combining the healing practice of Forrest Yoga and winding down with Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep).

Forrest Yoga combines and focuses on the breath, strength, integrity and spirit. It is a powerful practice that encourages physical and emotional blocks to release and is generally practiced in a room with heat.

This class is aimed at beginners to Forrest Yoga and also those who want to slow down and deepen their practice. Offering you understanding of the basic poses and well designed sequences Forrest Yoga moves the body through.

The class finishes with 20mins of Yoga Nidra, a powerful meditation, that is guided by your teacher and lets you rest, restore and release. Often referred to as Yogic Sleep, where 1hour of Yoga Nidra can be the equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep.

Taught with compassion and in a safe space, you will connect more with your breath, your physical body and encourage your passion for living, through a practice that will, most likely, have you sweat, release tension, gain strength, deepen your breath and restore.

Shanti Flow

Shanti Flow classes are designed to variously combine Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, Qi Gong, Breathwork, and Meditation to bring awareness through your body and breath to your subconscious mind, strengthening and freeing both body and mind, and increasing your resilience. The classes activate awareness of your body and connect you to your life force, build discipline and willpower in the mind and body, decrease stress and anxiety, build relationship to self, allow a safe space of inquiry, and increase flexibility, muscle tone and strength. Expect to move your body and still your mind.

Morning Freedom Flow
Get up and get moving with this invigorating yoga class. Utilising Forrest Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga styles, this class will connect the breath, with a well thought out sequence of poses, that combined create space in your body, allowing you to build strength, release tension and draw in energy for the day ahead.

Escape your office and come to this 45min Forrest-Inspired, Myofascial release yoga class. Where you will be guided through a sequence of poses specifically designed to release tension often created in an office and modern working lifestyle.

Calling on Forrest Yoga poses and sequencing, in collaboration with myofascial release techniques, you will connect to your breath, open the body in different areas, create space and build strength, to combat the office tension and find more freedom to take into your weekend.

This takes place through a continuous yoga flow, which will leave you feeling free of restriction and tiredness. Moving into different postures through the class, you will find the offering of a clarity of mind.

In our experience, practicing FlowYoga can dramatically improve your life, by improving physical, mental and emotional well-being.

 

Yin Yoga  & Yoga Nidra
Join Jane on Friday evenings for a beautiful, slow, gentle yoga practice followed by a guided, deep relaxation, known as yogic sleep. The perfect way to wind down at the end of the week.

After preparing your body for meditation, you will be invited to rest comfortably in Savasana while being taken through the deep layers of the self (Pincha Maya Kosha) withdrawing from your senses to achieve a sense of calmness and deep peace.

Ideal after a busy week, if you are suffering from stress, find it difficult to sleep or just need a quiet moment to deeply relax. Blankets, pillows, essential oils and the occasional raw cacao chocolate will help ease you into the weekend.Slow stretch and crystal bowl meditation

Crystal Bowl and Sound Bath meditation
A crystal sound bath harnesses the reverberating sounds and vibrations of crystal bowls of all shapes and sizes, to lull you into a peaceful and mindful state of being. Bex Thibault, a qualified sound specialist is on hand to play the hollow bowls like instruments by twirling a crystal baton around the sides to create an unforgettable experience.

Suitable for complete beginners-advanced meditators. 

The Hive Sequence
The weekend vibe brings us to our HIVE HONEY POT of sequences where co-founder of The Hive, Bex Thibault has designed a sequence to combine the very best of our classes together from through the week.

The Hive sequence opens up with traditional yogic breathing techniques known as pranayama and core yoga poses from hatha, forrest and vinyasa weaving together to create
a fluid style, each week the class will offer the chance of an apex (a peak pose). This pose will have many different levels to choose from to suit all abilities.

The beauty of the honey pot is the consistency and individual style and flair the different teacher will bring to the class each week.
